Who We Are

LexCare is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to addressing the unmet needs of the community through emergency assistance.  Working with a network of social service agencies, we have been able to touch the lives of hundreds of families in our community who may have otherwise not been assisted. Many of the families we assist are experiencing temporary crisis and “fall through the cracks” in terms of qualifying for other resource programs.

WHO DO WE ASSIST?

Recipients of LexCare assistance are often individuals who have suddenly suffered a catastrophic event in their lives, such as a serious illness that temporarily but seriously affects their ability to work, the sudden loss of a job, death of a spouse who provided family income, the serious illness of a family member that requires taking extensive time off of work for medical appointments or for providing in-home care, or the need to escape domestic violence. The assistance LexCare provides gives these individuals a much-needed “lift” to help them move forward to self-sufficiency.
