HOW WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE
LexCare maintains a fund to assist individuals and families with financial and material needs when other sources are not available to them. This fund is supported solely by private contributions. LexCare member agencies review the individual’s or family’s need for the following types of assistance, and then make requests for LexCare funds.
LexTran bus passes are available for qualifying individuals who are in need of transportation for legitimate, necessary reasons, such as for medical appointments, job interviews and counseling.
Emergency assistance is provided for basic car repairs for individuals who are in financial crisis and have no other reasonable options for critical transportation to work, job interviews and/or medical appointments, for example.
